I was thinking the other day about what goes on in the world today.
You know and I know that Ukraine War has cost us all a mint of money and it looks as though it was all for naught.
At least from our perspective as Western tax payers.
Because the corporations are going in to get every piece of flesh off of UKR carcass as soon as Peace is signed, them being the ravenous vultures they are.
But in general I was contemplating on the nature of support.
I mean support is supposed to be pretty straightforward: you like a cause, you donate money or time or both or you just morally back it up.
Well in UKR’s case, things are different. As is the case with many other such ‘public causes’.
This is because we have all been forced to subsidize and endorse with our time, labor, and money the cause of poor Ukraine trying to defend its territory against the mighty invader, Russia.
To my mind, this is wrong. And this is why I say this.
If you support the continuation of the war in the UKR, you should be the one paying for it. Not only that. You should also be given a rifle, ammo, gear, and a slap on the back “Off to war you go, buddy!”
Because it’s your cause, it’s your support, it should also be your war. So, go ahead and feel free to pay for it with your private funds, blood, tears and toil.
But don’t ask those of us who want to have nothing with UKR, Russia, the war, or any other cause we are not aligned with or care about.
I for one do not give a fig about the outcome of the war.
Nor do I care for many if not all of the ‘public causes’ the media brainwashes the people into supporting.
I believe that if I want something, I will find it myself, be that a car, a product, a service, I will be the one identifying the need and figuring out the level of effort required to attain or meet it.
IF someone is trying to sell me their product, I tell them to sod off.
The same goes to dealing with unwanted ‘public causes’ seeking our support, money, labor, and time.
IF it wasn’t me who identified the ’cause’ worthy of my support, money, labor, and time, those who did can go engage in sexual congress with themselves.
