The Kennedy Way

Has your idea of what makes a good friend changed as you’ve gotten older?

JFK was perhaps one of the last great Americans.

When they shot him down, they destroyed the best part of the USA. The one that made every denizen of the world want to become a better person.

Kennedy was a hero. He was a genuine leader and a gentleman who believed his job was to leave a better world behind.

He once said

Ask yourselves not what your country can do for you, but instead what you can do for your country.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy (1917-1963)

The same can and must be said about friendship.

You have to be that friend from the question. You need to be your BF’s friend. To be there for them is your job. You have to make the world better. You are the hero. You are the martyr. You carry the world on your shoulders. You need to watch over your friend.

I wish I was born knowing all this. But I guess it ain’t too late to practice what I preach, folks. And so should you. Don’t wait for nobody. Be there for your buddy, pal or BFF!
