My wife received a job posting that asked for candidates “who are able to hit the ground running.”
She casually applied for this job. She was selected and during the interview, she jocularly responded “I can certainly hit the ground running. The only thing is I will require medical assistance and a stretcher once I do that.”
Another question from another interview asked candidates if they “can you hit the ground” but missed the “running” part.
To this my wife said “of course. After all who am I to disagree with Sir Isaac Newton’s Law of universal gravitation.”
