Plutarch recounts how the Sabine king Tatius compensated the traitorous Roman Tarpeia for her treason. He buried her alive under the weight of the gold she received for her infamous act. He died. Dishonesty has a capital price in Putin’s world.

George Carlin once famously said about the American Dream that it was called like that because one had to be asleep to reach it. Same thing goes for Democracy. It is quickly turning from a clear reality into a figment of imagination. And boy, does one need to use their imagination to get the feel they live in a Democracy or what.
