Is the Triumph of Democracy a Distant Dream?

George Carlin once famously said about the American Dream that it was called like that because one had to be asleep to reach it. Same thing goes for Democracy. It is quickly turning from a clear reality into a figment of imagination. And boy, does one need to use their imagination to get the feel they live in a Democracy or what. As it happens, Tolerance is undermining Democracy. We are asked, forced, nay compelled to tolerate others but nobody else follows suit. Tolerance cuts both ways. But nobody else tolerates Us. How come?

On Tyrants and Power Structures

Tyranny is foreign to free individuals. The people do not need leaders or hierarchical power structures. We can work together because we have to. Power structures are destructive and harmful to all societies.
