The Golden Rule predates History. It hails from the beginnings of Man. Its significance is nothing short of providential for Humanity. It set the foundation for Religion, Morality, Ethics, and defined Good and Evil in terms adapted to the meanest understanding.
Perfect Freedom is Utopian. Many have tried it. Most attempts succumbed to crime, misery, and moral decrepitude. A just set of Laws must moderate individual and societal excesses, keeping them in check.
Political violence is a fact of life. The world is in turmoil. In 1963, a President was killed in Dallas. The Truth never came out. The Media obscured the Facts by conflating the Sensational with Reality and adding a heavy dose of Fake News. Then, as Now, we are at crossroads. Do we keep on believing the Mainstream Media’s litany of deceit and lies? Or we move away and examine facts on their merit. The choice is ours. It takes time to be informed. But a lifetime won’t be enough to repair the consequences of taking things on Faith alone.
Deja Vu is a glitch in the matrix. Our perception is forever changing. Life is a mighty river. History and Time move on.
Gun control does not work. It keeps law-abiding citizens under the boot heel of the tyrannic state while allowing criminals to run amok and cull the flock of hapless sheep. You pick up a gun you instantly become a citizen.
Antisemitism does have a silver lining, just not for the Jewish people. Life is Sardonic, eh! Turns out a good deed doesn’t earn you another. For if this were true, Jews would be celebrated as the saviors of Poland from the Black Death. Government has failed us. Police are asking citizens to surrender their possessions to criminals with guns. The state has already disarmed law abiding civilians. What are we to do?! What are we to do indeed?!
Is the Pen mightier than the Sword? We all must decide for ourselves. I know I did. Perhaps we need both. The French Ancien Regime believed that. They retained both the noblesse d'épée as well as the noblesse de lettres, de robe.
We are Custodians of the Present. Our lives do not belong to us alone. We are beholden to our Parents and Children. Where we come from and what we leave behind is what the Future will remember. Our Fear of Death Mars our Life.
The West is in free fall. The rot is everywhere. Our amorality has destroyed us. Because we ourselves are cowards, we detest courage in others. If we are lucky, it will be a quick decay into a state of confusion. If not, this living corpse will take a long time to expire. Optimism is cowardice. We are wanton optimists. Shame on us!
