To be a Leader takes balls, smarts, and discipline. These are values as scarce in politics today as an honest man in the Temple at the time of Jesus of Nazareth.

Born Too Late for Honor and Glory
This day and age makes me sick. In fact, it makes us all sick. It sickens me to live in this ignominious world inhabited by so many ignoble creatures. If I had a time machine, I'd use it.
History – Our Master Teacher
It is very difficult to find any redeeming value in these trying times. Dishonour rules the day. We have acted like cowards in the face of a nefarious agenda pushed by unelected elites for two generations now. Our inaction condemns future generations to violent reaction to an increasingly authoritarian-totalitarian global regime taking shape more aggressively with each passing day. Representative Democracy is used as a platform towards a dystopian future, where the people will have no rights. History teaches us that things can always get worse. We used to think absolute monarchs were bad. We had no idea that an oligarchic plutocratic elite was going to be much much worse. Caveat emptor!
Switzerland is yours – Sempach

A History Buff
This is why I love Switzerland!
On Splendid Isolation
Sometimes it pays not to open your legs for the first newcomer. Modesty and purity are ideals that hold a greater value both for the individual as well as on a macro scale. Rejecting alien notions, saving itself for a better match, allowed Japan to reach a stage that offered more opportunities, and less risk for opening its borders and trade to the Outside world.
On Goals
People who exist purely in the now without a thought to their cultural impact, their historical footprint, and who go out of their way to destroy our legacy should be punished commensurate to their crimes.
The New Romania
Romania is at the crossroads. Its history beckons her to walk the path of righteousness. A Nation must stand Tall or it must Perish.
De Urbis et Rusticus
Nothing lasts forever. All life has a beginning and an end. We used to be nomads pitching our troglodyte tents everywhere we went. We invented agriculture, settled down, built cities. Waged wars that burned cities down. There are no guarantees that won’t happen again. Not with nuclear weapons. If you want to survive you need to go back to basics. Or not! Your call!
Hamas’ Gunpowder Plot
Peace is a fragile thing. War is the natural state of Man. Conflict is what we do best. Just look at our weapons. Much more advanced than our buildings, right?! If peace is to be achieved, compromise must be sought. It requires burying the hatchet, and preferably not in your opponents’ headpiece. But that can only work if rational people sit down and choose to work things out calmly. Violence only begets violence. If the endgame is peace, violence must be abjured.
