Hamas’ Gunpowder Plot

Peace is a fragile thing. War is the natural state of Man. Conflict is what we do best. Just look at our weapons. Much more advanced than our buildings, right?! If peace is to be achieved, compromise must be sought. It requires burying the hatchet, and preferably not in your opponents’ headpiece. But that can only work if rational people sit down and choose to work things out calmly. Violence only begets violence. If the endgame is peace, violence must be abjured.

The Iniquitous Boss

Power structures are oppressive. They make us miserable and do not work. Yet we cannot shake them off. Why is that? What can we do about it?

On Responsibility

The Golden Rule predates History. It hails from the beginnings of Man. Its significance is nothing short of providential for Humanity. It set the foundation for Religion, Morality, Ethics, and defined Good and Evil in terms adapted to the meanest understanding.

On Loss

Dying is not the worst thing that happens to people. It’s seeing your family and friends go that breaks one’s spirit. It’s the steady and relentless vanishing act engulfing one’s ecosystem that destroys the will to live. For what meaning can life have without those beholding you. We are beholden to our circle of trust. Without it, we are nothing. When we go, our memory only endures in the hearts and minds of those left behind.

The Forever War

The world is at war. And we are all caught in it without even realizing. We are ignoring the evidence with the tenacity of the Ostridge. We are unfit to lick the boots of our ancestors who lived and fought to secure a better life for their children. We are unworthy of Freedom.

Why the Left hates Guns

The Gun destroyed Feudalism. It led to the triumph of Democracy. Now the powers that be want to take away people’s freedom. To do that, they must remove the ways and means. An armed citizen is a freeman. Only slaves are not allowed weapons.

On Virtues – Holding Fast

Tell us about the last thing you got excited about. Many, many centuries ago, the Philosopher-Emperor Marcus Aurelius famously wrote that any leader must be imbued by four chief virtues. Wisdom Justice Fortitude Temperance Many people may agree to disagree on which, if any, of the above ought to be part of their character. I … Continue reading On Virtues – Holding Fast

The Danger of Computation

AI will end us just as sure as the Sun would do it... eventually. I wonder if AI will leave a trace of us ever having existed. Cause the Sun won't. And there will be no eulogy and no obituary.

Time after time

Describe your life in an alternate universe. I wish I was born in another time. Perhaps a more honorable time. One where words did not hurt people. Here, try another meme for size. Never hurt anyone, eh. But perhaps my wish is nonsensical. Perhaps, there are multiple universes side by side, or multiverses, wherein my … Continue reading Time after time
