About Cats and Dogs

What are your favorite animals?

I love animals of the feline and canine persuasion equally.

Though so different in character and stamina, so unlike in habitudes and disposition, cats and dogs share a place of stature in my heart’s affections.

I believe that when all is said and done, a cat will remember a bad word and will never forgive your raising your voice at her. While a dog may never fail to be at your feet no matter how abusive you might have become, if you were there for him when he was a pup.

Therein lies the difference between cat and dogs.

Therein lies the difference between women and men.

Many people have claimed women are like cats, and men like dogs. I don’t share this simple sentiment.

I believe that some women may display feline traits while some men would put out a canine affectation.

I did notice however that my wife has the temperament of a cat in that she resents loud noises, troubles, and extreme situations. While she usually calls me a bloodhound for my propensity to use my keen sense of smell for mischief, and a barker on account of my booming voice.

I for one value extremely both animals’ features. I enjoy the vengeful nature of cats as well as their ladylike hygienic habits and demeanour.

I believe cats are very elegant and noble. I totally see the Ancient Egyptians’ point of view.

But a dog, ladies and gents, a dog will remember you all his life if you were there for him when he was but a puppy. A dog’s loyalty is the gold standard against which all other are judged… and deemed unworthy of the name.

A dog, a true noble dog, will rather die at his master’s feet than run away and dessert him in his time of need.
