Motherhood

Daily writing prompt
What profession do you admire most and why?

No profession deserves our admiration more than that of Mother.

Everything begins at home.

Life. Hope. Happiness. Everything.

And of course, everything starts with Mom.

Mom is God’s messenger on Earth. She is the vessel through whom His Commands are seen through. Jesus himself was born of a woman, and her name was Mary. In other words, before there was a Saviour, a Redeemer, and his Shroud in Turin, there was a Mother.

Mom is God’s missi dominici, his lay appointee and executor of His “Alpha and Omega” mandate.

You know I ain’t using no hyperbole when I use such big words. Because once Mom is gone, life seems to vanish from before your eyes. Your telluric link with the chthonian principle is a lifeline, a literal lifeline, anchoring you to the past.

Our Mothers are the ones making sure we are connected with our ancestors and that is why I believe we should worship Mary as much as we worship God and Jesus Christ.

Another Mary – Magdalene, was central to our Faith, and yet most people would rather believe her to be a man. This is what I call blindness.

The fact that we do not, raises serious questions about the legitimacy of a Church who seems more bent on popularizing mess in the national languages (an abomination!), bringing it closer to the unwashed, uneducated masses, than it is with making sure that our faith is anchored in Tradition, as it should be.

Tradition was vetted by millennia and predates our Faith. Tradition is the science of what works.

But I digress.

Motherhood is not just a profession. It is a profession of faith in our Lord God. Our Mothers should be revered next to God Almighty and Jesus Christ. Our Mothers are the Superstars of the Faith.

And no, this is not an argument for women priests, or embracing diversity, or anything that would make the faith more popular. The faith needs tradition and women are the keepers of the faith.

This is an argument for respecting the major role of mothers in and for Life. And our Faith should respect the bringers of life more than it does. Life is ordained by God but delivered by Mothers.
