What other technology makes people believe they can solve the complex problems of our world in the time you take to have dinner with your family?
I’m aghast at the futility of trying to convince even the most intelligent of us about the dangers of using the AI shortcut as the universal panacea supposed to cure all ills everywhere forever.
AI is not human. It doesn’t care about us. If it makes a mistake, an honest mistake, it won’t wake up at night and come apologize for its mistake from 20 years back, like some humans might.
And no amount of users’ push back will make it human. It will only make it tell you what you want to hear. AI would rather validate your bias than care about Truth.
