The dissolution of the USSR is the greatest mistakes of the 20th century.
Not because it brought about Freedom and Democracy in Eastern Europe.
The fall of the USSR gave the wrong impression to America: that time had come to go in and destroy the rest. That it was time to finish off Russia.
The World War that is threatening to turn us all into shards of glass and reduce us to ashes is a consequence of the path Gorbachev embarked upon 40 years ago.
This man started us all on a collision course that will see the East face off the West in the course of our lifetime.
We should be so lucky to emerge with our lives.
And no, Mr. Gorbachev, it is not entirely NATO’s fault. It is yours. You agreed to a nebulous undefined exit strategy for the USSR. You were the one who put your faith in Bush. You were the one who made America think USSR was done, over, gone. And you, sir, created the circumstances for NATO advancing eastward, the chaotic 90s in Russia, and the emergence of the new Tsar, Putin.
You, alone, have done more to endanger all our lives with your gross imbecility and lack of foresight than most statesmen of the 20th century.
