AI is the greatest danger facing humanity.
Each day, we become more enamored, more infatuated with It.
It is slowly but surely permeating each and every facet of work, life, and everything in between.
Your friends use it for school projects, your mom for work stuff or to improve her writing skills, and your buddies for their film projects.
It is everywhere.
It is inescapable. It is unavoidable.
You alone, you escape its clutches, its long appendages trying to hook into your soul, whispering faintly, but clearly:
Trust in me!
AI is getting cozy with humanity in the same sense a Titanoboa would get tight with its prey, until it surrounded it with its powerful body and coiling onto it, it suffocates it into a bolus, a ready-to-eat bolus.
President Biden met President Xi the other day to discuss how humans, not AI, should control nuclear arms. This news title should put the fear of God into everyone. Because people never discuss non-issues. And important folk only have time to address issues. This means, the nuclear powers of the world are thinking to let AI in charge of their nuclear arsenals.
Apparently, “the leaders stressed the need for careful consideration of AI technology’s potential risks in the military.”
So, Humanity not content with creating a powerful monster the likes of which has never been seen on the face of the Earth, has seen fit to arm it with nuclear weapons. Because AI, this New Age Ba’al-like deity our generation worships with reckless abandon, obviously needs more power, before it starts devouring us.
Soon, this will happen to us.
We must do everything in our power to stop AI from taking root in our lives. AI is not our friend.
And if we should fail to understand that, AI will replace us all with compliant soma who will do Its bidding. That is if we are lucky, and it finds we still serve a purpose.
But I am uncertain it will.
In the end, our morally bankrupted and unrestrained intelligence will have doomed us all.
And then the Silent Scream of the Machine will have become the Voiceless Anguish of the Wicked Ancient World of Man.
