On Failure

How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?

Life is a series of setbacks, blows, and defeats… interspersed with the occasional win for the home team.

Go Wolverines!

Failure is guaranteed. After all we all die eventually.

It’s what you do with it, how you cope, how you pull yourself up by your bootstraps, and so forth, that makes the difference between eternal losers and winners.

You really have got to roll with the punches, man.

You gotta evolve the spirit. This spirit.

No matter how down in the dumps you are, remember there is no way than up. But nobody’s gonna pull you out of the hole. Nobody but yourself.

You are your own single biggest enemy.

Many will try to put you down. Don’t prove them right. Make them pay for their reckless impudence by showing them your mettle.

I’ve been in the hole a few times myself. I know what I’m talking about. And life has shown me that sulking and hating the world for being what it is never works.

What worked for me was hard work, hard fighting and hard riding.

Repetition is key.

Bad habits are engrained in repetition but so are good ones.

When you fail, it’s usually a combination of lack of motivation, no application, and disinterest in changing your ways.

In order to succeed, identify the faults within, change, apply yourself, rinse and repeat.

It’s that easy.
