What are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?
Somehow every time I’m confronted with the topic of longevity, this Star Trek catchphrase comes to mind.
Now, I’m not only a Trekkie. I’m also a Star Wars fan.
I believe both fantasies have their own merits and demerits.
And the Star Wars franchise teaches us that
Only the Sith deal in absolutes.
Star Wars Part III
As for I, I believe that Life in and of itself, has no inherent value. It is meant to be shared with family and friends.
Life Alone is meaningless, impossible, unnatural.
In other words, how can one even conceptualize a long life when one’s entourage is no longer among the living?!
Living a long life is not worthy of living. Living a full, accomplished and good Life is the stuff of Legends.
Forget the Grail! Be realistic and embrace your loved ones! They are your Holy Grail!
