On Doctors and Realism

Dr. Kissinger was, without a doubt, the greatest Machiavellian politico of the last century. Always lurking in the shadows. Always ready to promote his Real Politik moves. As a fellow Realist, I can appreciate his skills. As a man, I find his brand of politics abhorrent.

Just because the game is rigged, you don’t have to play it. Change the game if you have the cojones… or die trying.

Instead, Kissinger found an imperfect world and made it his personal violin. And then proceeded to teach others how to play it. No, sir.

Realism doesn’t mean you need to stop trying to perfect the world. It means that you need to enhance the good parts and work against the bad.

If naked idealism is moronic and destructive then pure unadulterated realism means perpetuating evil.
