Most of today’s films are crap. They truly are beyond deplorable. From acting to the script, from lighting to artistic licences, from the choice of actors to the theme of the motion picture, everything reeks pestilentially.
It reeks of politics. It reeks of propaganda.
And it’s in our faces. The messaging couldn’t be clearer. You (meaning us the audience) must receive the new mindset via the film, and accept it as is without any criticism.
Are we meant to suspend our disbelief as to the agenda of the makers of such imbecilic productions such as Ridley Scott’s Napoleon or Jeymes Samuel’s The Book of Clarence in the futile hope of learning something new?
Are we supposed to believe that Napoleon was a sexual beast who ravaged all women from behind on sight? In other words, why was he (an avowed womanizer nevertheless) depicted as a satyr whose only ambition was to mount and hump all members of the fairer sex?
Was it perhaps the intent of the makers was to cast him in a bad light because he was a man, and as such could only ravage women, send millions of men to their deaths, and conquer a continent, only to fail miserably?
Feminism is so rampant and vile and obscene today that I cannot discount the possibility of Napoleon serving as yet another sacrifice on its altar.
As for The Book of Clarence, things are much straight to the point. I summarize: Jesus is Black, as are all the Jews in Judaea in 33 AD, the Romans are all White Men, and the movie is supposed to be a comedy, maybe?! Beyond contemptible.
The mediocrity of art in general has reached a summit that goes beyond parody. It makes one wonder that perhaps Soviet prolet-cult productions were not that bad. I mean the message was less on the nose and they made more sense than the desultory crap we are bombarded by today.
I for one would take those amateurish productions over the new crap any time of day.
